Post-festival week sees slight uptick, tally rises in Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra

India reported a slight uptick in Covid-19 cases in the post-Dussehra/Navratri/Durga puja week, with several states, including the capital, reporting a rise in fresh cases although the overall numbers remained low. The country is expected to log just over 17,400 new cases in the week ending Sunday (October 10-16), up around 3% from the previous week's tally of 16,923, according to TOI's Covid database.
